Project Cerro Autana
Project Cerro Autana’s primary aim was to promote access to fitness services in Venezuela’s most remote regions, including the isolated community in Cerro Autana. Reaching them requires an eight-hour boat ride, underscoring the community’s limited access to essential resources. This initiative was designed not only to provide fitness resources but also to encourage sustainable practices that align with their lifestyle, focusing on exercises, nutrition, and health guidance accessible within their environment. By establishing these foundational practices, Project Cerro Autana aimed to build lasting health benefits and foster a sense of empowerment within the community
Cerro Autana X Fitplex
At Fitplex, we have had the privilege of impacting the lives of 124 individuals through the introduction of simple stretches and yoga practices. In December 2021, we undertook an 8-hour boat journey with our team to reach the indigenous community of Cerro Autana in Amazonas, Venezuela. During our visit, we demonstrated how they could use their natural surroundings as a means of exercise. Despite the lack of a common language, we formed a strong connection through our shared dedication to fitness and health. Together, we played football, practiced yoga, and even used the huts’ structures for pull-ups, creating an unforgettable bond. To maintain this relationship, we continue to send footballs, clothing, and essential food supplies to the community every month.

Then from 2022-2023, we supported members of the community, and provided basic essentials and clothing

True Impact, Doesn't come only from donations, but from making a connection with the people, that's why, we devised a simple workout brochure for the people of Cerro Autana. To do so, we contacted Mr Jhonny Kajupare, Mayor of Cerro Autana. In October of 2023, we had arranged a Zoom meeting with Mr. Jhonny, We demonstrated all the different types of exercises to Eduardo, and he sent it to Mr, Jhonny- who was thrilled to see it.

Although a push up, a pull up, or a squat might seem like common knowledge to someone that lives in Urban Areas, people that live far away from any society, such as the people in Cerro Autana, truly found this brochure to be intriguing
